I’m always telling my daughter not to be impatient - that we have to be willing to wait for some good things - but I must confess I find it difficuly to wait patiently myself.
The roofers were meant to come today and start roofing the house, but they rang to say they can’t get here till Monday. 
Only five days to wait, but I still felt disappointed. It’s been such a long haul to get to this place where we’re ready for the roof, and I ‘can’t wait!’
But I have to. Ah well. I guess it’s a good opportunity to display patience to my children.
