Story in Six Words

I’ve been doing a bit of reading lately about Ernest Hemmingway.

He  was famous for a terse minimalist style of writing that dispensed with flowery adjectives and got straight to the point. He was challenged once to write an entire story in just six words. This is what he wrote:

For sale. Baby’s shoes. Never used.

 Poignant. and so clever. I might have a try myself and see what I can tell in six words.

I’ve enjoyed reading some of his quotes – they have valuable advice in them for those of us who love to write!
